What is a Paraprofessional test?

The ParaPro Assessment is a computer-based test (CBT) developed by The Educational Testing Service (ETS). ETS is the biggest non-profit educational assessment organization in the world.

The CBT consists of 90 selected-response (multiple-choice) questions divided into three different content areas: reading, mathematics, and writing. You will be allotted 2.5 hours to take the test in its entirety.

Furthermore, the test measures an individual’s knowledge in the areas of reading, writing, and math. In addition, the test is able to assess the individual’s capabilities of assisting in the classroom.

The test is a requisite for all paraprofessionals who have not met the other two federal requirements. It is designed for those who are currently working as paraprofessionals and those who wish to become a paraprofessional.
