The International Network of Women Professionals Utilities (WinUp) believes to help all members of the industry deepen their knowledge. In that respect, WiNUPis is offering three scholarships: Julia Kiene Scholarship, Lyle Mamer Scholarship, and LouisanMamer Scholarship.

These scholarships are basically for women pursuing higher education (via a bachelor’s degree) so that they can make careers in the utilities or related fields. The International Network of Women Professional Utility (WinUp) will pay a total of $ 3,500 three scholarships.

About WinUP

The International Network of Women Professionals Utilities (WinUp) was founded in 1923 – then known as the Round Table Electrician Women – by women for women. We exist to professionally and personally support our members in the public service.

This is an organization to develop a link and to recognize the professionals involved in the trend, topics, products and services for utilities.

Scholarship Level/Field

These fellowships are available annually to females who are pursuing degrees (beyond a bachelor’s degree), which will lead to careers in the utility industry or allied fields.

The WiNUP Fellowships 2020 will take place in the USA.

Scholarship Benefits

The fellowships open to students pursuing post-graduate degrees which will lead to careers in the utility industry or allied fields.

The Women’s International Network of Utility Professionals (WiNUP) will provide a total of $3,500 award amount in their three fellowships.

  • The Julia Kiene Fellowship is a grant of $2,000 annually.
  • The Lyle Mamer Fellowship, a $1,000 annual grant
  • The LouisanMamer Fellowship is a grant of $500 annually

Eligibility for Scholarship

To qualify, applicants must meet all eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must be recognized at a regional or national level in a recognized university.
  • The candidate must be a woman to pursue higher education (via a bachelor’s degree) in the utility sector or related fields.
  • The relevant fields must be related to a career in a profession related to public services, such as engineering, business administration, accounting, environmental sciences, communications, information technology, and so on

  • Transcripts
  • Two letters of reference
  • Applicant statement – Attach a paragraph explaining:
  1. Why you are interested in furthering your education.
  2. How you expect to contribute to the field of energy after completion of your studies.
  • Financial status: explain in a brief paragraph, how your college education was financed? Include a paragraph of estimated expenses.

Applications must be postmarked by May 1, 2020, to be eligible for awards. Fellowship funds will be paid directly to your university. Winners will be notified by June 30 of each year.
