• The common application recommends using the following browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer version 10 and Safari.
• When writing the essay and the short answer part of the online application, the file size should not exceed 500 KB and should be in .doc, .docx, .wpd, .rtf, .xls, .pdf or .txt . Mac users should save the file with the appropriate three-letter extension.
• Do not attempt to download a document that is password protected or contains macros.
• Give your recommendations enough time to complete and submit your forms. Be sure to complete your portions of these forms. As a courtesy, consider providing prepaid envelopes addressed to the reviewers who submit paper forms.
• Faithfully respect all deadlines. Do your best to avoid submitting your request at the last minute.
• Make copies of each part of your request. Ask your recommendations to keep copies of your forms and letters.
