Pakistan Scholarships for Afghan Students

The Pakistani Government is delighted to invite scholars from Afghanistan to apply for the Pakistan Scholarships for Afghan Students.

This scholarship is available to help Afghan students pursue their higher education in different universities in Pakistan and in various areas of study, which would include Sciences and Arts, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Management, ICT, and so many other fields as they are available in the student’s institution of choice.

Description of Pakistan Scholarships for Afghan Students:

The Pakistani scholarship for Afghan students aims to improve the bilateral relationship between the two countries. It will be available to Afghan students for an extended period to pursue whatever level of education they want, which includes Undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

Women and girls that have attained the eligible age bracket for this Program are also strongly advised to apply for this Program, which will address the low literacy rate of women in Afghanistan.

To ensure efficiency in this scheme, the Pakistan ministry of education and the ministry of foreign affairs have agreed to allow Afghan students visas within the shortest possible time for those shortlisted to pursue higher learning in Pakistan.

With the approach in Place, scholars will no longer have to face any delay in processing their admission and acquiring their Visa for higher learning.

Level of Scholarship:

The Government of Pakistan Announces that the scholarship covers

• Bachelor’s level scholarship
• MS/MPhil Level Scholarship
• Ph.D. level scholarship

Eligibility: All applicants for the respective levels of scholarship are to be of Afghan nationality to ensure that they have complied to the later with all the above-listed criteria for each group.

Institution: Any University in Pakistan

Benefit: This program scholarship is fully paid and covers all the student’s financial responsibilities.

Country of study: Pakistan

Each of these levels of scholarship has its respective criteria for eligibility on application.

Bachelor’s Level Scholarship:

The Criteria for this level of scholarship include

Age Bracket: Afghan students who have shown interest in pursuing a bachelor’s Program must be within the age limits of 17-23 years of age below and above. Such scholars will not be considered for this scholarship program.

Qualifications: Afghan students applying for this Program must have passed their 12th-grade examination and must have also obtained up to 70% mark or above the said examination

Non-eligibility: Students who have been selected earlier now for this Program but have not availed for this Program or have even withdrawn or dropped out are not eligible to apply.

MS/MPhil level Scholarship:

The criteria for this level of scholarship include

Age limit: The age limit acceptable for this level of scholarship is 35 years for non-faculty members and 40 years for faculty members.

Qualifications: Interested Afghan students must have

• Completed 16 years of education
• I have obtained a minimum of 2.5 CGPA or equivalent out of 4.0 in my Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
• Obtained a minimum of 70% marks in Shahdatnama

Non-Eligibility: This is the same as mentioned for the Bachelor’s Program

Ph.D. level scholarship

The eligibility criteria for this Ph.D. program include

Age limit: Afghan applicants are to meet the age limits of 35 years for non-faculty members and 40 years for faculty members

Qualifications: Interested candidates must have

• Completed 18 years of education
• I have obtained a minimum of 3.0 CGPA or equivalent out of 4.0 in MS/MPhil degree.
• Obtained a minimum of 2.5 CGPA or equivalent out of 4.0 in Bachelor’s/Master’s degree. (16 Years of Education)
• Obtained a minimum of 70% marks in Shahdatnama

Non-eligibility: Students selected earlier through this Program but have not availed of the Scholarship or have dropped for the scholarship are not eligible to apply.
