Boettcher Scholarship |  UPDATED

If you’re a Colorado graduating senior, you may decide to attend college in Colorado in 2023 with the Boettcher Scholarship. This merit-based scholarship for Colorado high school seniors provides a full ride to any four-year institution in Colorado.

The Boettcher Scholarship is much more than financial support. It provides scholars with unique opportunities to enhance their time in college, access to a broad network of successful alumni, and additional grants and experiences to jump-start their future careers and leadership potential.

Upon receiving this Colorado scholarship in 2023, Boettcher Scholars automatically join a more than 60-year strong network of Boettcher alumni. Access to these alumni leads to great conversations and connections with local, national and international leaders and can become meaningful internships and jobs.

We often hear from our scholars that the “Boettcher connection” helped them to find some of their best friends, business partners, and future investors.

The foundation provides funding to partner Colorado colleges to enrich the college experience for Boettcher Scholarship recipients.

In the past, this has included graduate school/career prep opportunities, bonding activities for the Boettcher Scholar group at each school, and trips to cultural events throughout Colorado.

Boettcher Scholarship Annual Events

Part of receiving this special Colorado scholarship is the camaraderie that Boettcher Scholars develop with one another. The foundation hosts various events for the entire Boettcher Scholar community annually.

This includes an annual holiday party at the Governor’s Residence at Boettcher Mansion, networking events with alumni and current scholars, community service days, leadership programming and a weekend-long scholar orientation.

One of our favourite events for new Boettcher Scholars is our teacher recognition awards program. Most Boettcher Scholars agree they wouldn’t be where they are today without great teachers.

The teacher recognition awards program allows scholars to honour the teacher who impacted their lives most. In the spirit of giving back to our communities, teachers who receive the honour are awarded a $1,000 grant for an educational program or project to benefit students at their schools.

Boettcher will pay scholars a fixed amount of $20,000 per year for four years. Then, the institutions will use institutional, merit, need-based, and institutional support (or a combination of these) to cover each Scholar’s full cost of attendance, minus travel and other costs.
