College Board Opportunity Scholarships is a new program that guides you through the college planning process. Equally gives you the opportunity to earn college money along the way.

Currently, the College Board has launched a new scholarship program with $5 million per year.

The more effort you make, the more chances you will have to win a scholarship. Indeed, if you complete all six, then you are eligible to win $40,000. Also, scholarships will be awarded by monthly drawing to students who complete each action.

The College Board Scholarships and Grants will award 25 Complete Your Journey scholarships in February 2023.

Through the College Board Opportunity Scholarship platform and will remain eligible for the final Complete Your Journey scholarship, as long as they complete the other five actions.

Who can qualify for College Board Opportunity Scholarships?

Currently, students enrolled in high school in the United States, Puerto Rico, and other U.S jurisdictions are qualified for the Opportunity Scholarship. And by 2020 you can start qualifying for these scholarships.

How can I win a College Board Opportunity Scholarships?

For instance, you can win scholarships from $500 to $2,000, starting as a high school student in high school. As well as performing individual planning stages at a university.

Also, the more actions you take, the more likely you are to win a scholarship: complete all six and you will be eligible for the $40,000 scholarship.

Is there a family income requirement to win scholarships?

No, this program is open to students regardless of their family income. At least half of the scholarships (at least $2.5 million) will be reserved for students whose families earn less than $ 60,000 a year.

How will students with a family income of less than $60,000 be identified?

Half of the scholarships awarded under the College Board Opportunity Scholarship Program will go to students whose families earn less than $60,000 per year. It will be automatically identified that participants meet this criterion in two ways:

  • If you received exemptions from payment through the College Board for any of our evaluations
  • Adhered to the program. Students will update their self-reported income levels at any time.
  • If they attend a high school where 75% or more of the students are eligible for a free or discounted lunch

College Board Opportunity Scholarships Host Nationality

Any public, private or local school located in one of the fifty (50) states of the United States is eligible to host College Board Opportunity Scholarships.

Not only but also the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S, Virgin Islands, Guam. As well as American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, or any other U.S. territories.

Eligible Nationality for College Board Opportunity Scholarships

Indeed, the College Board Opportunity Scholarships are open to all students in the 2023 class who attend high schools in the United States, Puerto Rico, and other territories of the United States.

Students in class 2023 will be eligible as of the end of 2022. There are no citizenship requirements. Students who attend DoDEA schools outside the United States may not take part in the program.

Scholarship Worth

In truth, the College Board is awarding seven scholarships. Upon completion of each step, students become eligible for the scholarship associated with this step.

Students who complete all six stages are also eligible for the seventh Complete Your Journey scholarship.

Build Your College List Winners

$500 for each winner. Also, Fifty (50) winners per month from December 2021 to July 2022.

Practice for the SAT Winners

Grant of $1,000 per winner.

Also, Seventy-five (75) winners per month will be selected from among participants who are low-income students.

In addition, Fifteen (15) additional winners (three (3) winners per month will be selected from participants. Not only for those who are low-income students and will attend Connecticut High School at the time of the corresponding drawing.

Strengthen Your College List Winners

$500 for each winner. Fifty (50) winners per month from August to October 2022.

Also, Fifty (50) additional winners per month will be selected from August to October 2022 among participants who are low-income students.

In addition, Nine (9) additional winners (three (3) winners per month from August 2020 to October 2022) will be selected among the participants.

Complete the FAFSA Winners

College Board Opportunity Scholarships Eligibility

The scholarship program is open to students (“eligible students” or “students”) who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Attend a public, private or local school located in one of the fifty (50) states of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, or any other U.S. territories and goods;
  2. As of December 5, 2018, they are at their third year of secondary education, that is, junior high school students;
