How Much is Course Hero Scholarship?
Each contest winner will receive a scholarship of $1,000, $3,000 or $5,000. Note, Beneficiaries will receive the funds used to study at the college or university where they are enrolled, based on the enrollment steps (as described above in “How to Enter”) that the winner has completed. Who is Eligible for this contest?
The selection criteria for the list are listed below:
- The contest is restricted to legal and permanent US residents residing in the fifty (50) states of the United States of America and the District of Columbia.
- The applicant, who is at least 16 years old at the time of entry
- The candidate must currently be enrolled at an accredited college or university in the US (see the US Department of Education website list at http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx.
- Minors aged 16 to 17 must obtain the consent of their parents or guardian.
How can I apply for this Scholarship?

Each month, Course Hero announces different scholarship themes and amounts. You can apply by creating a Course Hero account and writing a short essay response to the scholarship’s question. Past topics have included academics, collaborative learning, spring break, and more.
Students are then asked to submit a 150-500 words short answer written response to the scholarship question for that month in order to be eligible for a $1000 scholarship. If the student uploads 8 Study Documents, they are then eligible for a $3000 scholarship.
Lastly, Entrants who complete the steps above and post to their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat account and tag [@CourseHero] in their post during the calendar month of the then-current Contest will be eligible to win a $5,000 scholarship in that month’s Contest.
Additional infomation:
- This is a monthly scholarship that renews at the beginning of the month and the deadline is the last day of the month.
- Applicants are notified via email within 60 days of applying to the scholarship of their application status.
- The scholarship award will be distributed directly to the winner’s university financial aid department.
The winning short-answer question response is chosen based on the following criteria: sincerity, creativity, thoughtfulness, and real credibility.

Application Deadline
The competition will begin on March 15, 2023, at 12:01 CST on the first day of the month and end on April 15, 2023, at 23:59 CST.
