About the University Of Fiji Scholarship
The University of Fiji offers tuition loans to students from very challenging financial backgrounds.
Applications for this University Scholarship/ Loan Scheme are open after the Semester 1 enrollment. (The students receive an email on the Specific dates and details after enrolling through the UniFiji Student mail).
Who Can Apply For The University Of Fiji Undergraduate Scholarship
A student is eligible to apply for the University Scholarship/Loan Scheme if he/she:
Those currently serving or required to serve a bond for any other scholarship are ineligible to apply.
Eligible Nationality:
The scholarship is open to Fiji Undergraduate students.
Aside from the University of Fiji Undergraduate Scholarship, there are other scholarships available to international students to study abroad. You can check our scholarship by country to access all scholarships available.
Eligible Level:
The University of Fiji Undergraduate Scholarship is open to undergraduate students at the University of Fiji.
Application Process
Students with outstanding academic records receive The University of Fiji Undergraduate Scholarship on a yearly basis. Also, a student who had been considered for tuition loans for the previous year will be reconsidered by the Scholarships and Loans committee only if they reapply and have obtained good grades the previous year.
The University of Fiji Undergraduate Scholarship fund covers partial payment of tuition fees. The remaining balance which is a little amount will be paid for by the students.
The University Scholarships and Loans Committee will meet in April and decide on your application. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you will receive a response from the University representative through phone, mailbag, or email two weeks after the Scholarship and Loans committee meeting.
If your application is successful, you will be required to complete a bond form and other requirements specified by the Scholarships and Loans Committee to be awarded the tuition loan. You will have to abide by University rules and meet other conditions as set out by the Scholarships and Loans Committee.
How To Apply
Please collect the application for Scholarship/Loan form from the Reception at the Saweni and Suva Campuses and fill it in.
This form is also available on this website under the academic forms link. OR This form is also available for download under the Students > Forms tab on the school website.
Completely fill out these forms, supply certified true copies of the required documents and you will need to get the forms endorsed by a District Councillor, Roko Tui, or District Officer. Or you can scan and email all required documents to [email protected] or [email protected].
Your parents/guardians will also complete a declaration in the presence of this personnel.
Providing false declarations, certifications of endorsements, or giving of false information will disqualify your application and you will not be considered for the Scholarship/Loan Scheme. If your application is incomplete, it will disqualify you. This reduces your chance of getting the scholarship.

The deadline for the application is specified on the form to Student Academic Services, The University of Fiji, Private Mail Bag, Lautoka, Fiji Islands.
