The program is open to all students from all over the world who have a university undergraduate degree at the time of the internship. As an intern at the CNS, you will learn about the development and production pipelines of a traditionally animated series!
With this exceptional program, you will be able to familiarize yourself with all the features of the pipeline for the traditionally animated series. You will be mentored by their production staff, about design, storyboard, digital clean-up, color, and much more.

Cartoon Network is looking for dedicated, organized, and creative interns for our 2023 summer session! If you love animation and are interested in a career in development, production, or animation, you can do an internship with EPIC in the largest network of comics in the world!
This program also allows you to present a short storyboard or series/idea to Cartoon Network staff and executives at pitch meetings, voice recordings, and the end of the semester! Some general administrative and clerical tasks can be assigned.
Not to mention, you would be mentored by their fantastic staff, learn about the various stages of the design process, and have exclusivity.

Eligibility For the Cartoon Network Internships
To be eligible, applicants must:
- International students are eligible to apply
- Be an undergraduate junior or senior at a university at the time of the internship (But, no freshmen, sophomores, grad students, or recent grads accepted!)
- Be a rising junior or senior currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university.
- Animation or similar majors are preferred (Illustration, Fine Art, etc.).
- Applicants should have a solid academic record (a 3.0 minimum is strongly preferred).
- Should be able to commit 15-20 hours weekly during normal business hours.
- Must be a self-motivator, a team player, and have a great attitude!
- Multi-task in an environment with short deadlines and quick turnaround projects.
- Prior experience with Photoshop, Filemaker Pro, After Effects, ToonBoom, or similar programs is helpful.
- The internship is based at their studios, located in Burbank, CA.
- If you are on a student visa, please check with your international student advisor to ensure you qualify. They cannot provide employer sponsorship if you’re not on a student visa.
- Recent grads and graduate students are not eligible for the internship program at Cartoon Network Studios.
