Therefore, this post seeks to bring to your notice the ongoing Heineken Africa foundation grant open to Sub-Saharan Africans. For what it’s worth, the opportunity is yours to grab!

Heineken Africa Foundation Grant assists sub-Saharan Africans by providing the necessary funding and assistance.

About Heineken Africa Foundation Grant

The Heineken Africa Foundation Grant provides social and economic wellbeing by investing in community ambitions that support our strategy and sustainability responsibilities via direct local donations, shared-value projects.

The Foundation has committed €10.7 million to 119 projects, of which 39 projects are still running.

In addition, it approved seven new projects involving a total investment of almost €720,000. They include renovating mother and child health departments at health centers in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Lubumbashi, DRC, and equipment for a neonatal intensive care unit in Benin City, Nigeria. Three more projects will bring drinking water to Burundi and Sierra Leone communities.

Over the years, the Foundation has developed strong expertise in Mother & Child Healthcare and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). Nevertheless, these areas are highly interdependent and crucial for the earliest years of life. Also, small improvements can have a big impact on communities, now and in the future.

The world poverty rates have been cut by more than half since 2000, but still, one in ten people in developing regions live with their families below the international poverty rate, on less than US$1.90 a day. Most people below the poverty line – up to 42% of the population–live in Southern Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

In addition, one in nine people in the world today (815 million) are malnourished, while 3 in 10 people lack access to potable water.

Furthermore, Heineken is committed to positively contributing to their host communities where they exist, source, live, work, and sell their products.

Finally, the HEINEKEN Africa Foundation supports the health and wellbeing of communities by providing vital access to healthcare and clean water.
