Eugene C. Figg, Jr. Civil Engineering Scholarship

Scholarship Description

Eugene C. Figg, Jr. Civil Engineering Scholarship is awarded from year to year unto one (1) undergraduate civil engineering student who will utilize the scholarship money for their junior or senior tuition expenses and fees.

The purpose of this scholarship award program is to further the education of some worthy student interested in bridge design and construction.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Civil Engineering Scholarship (KTCCES) Awards Program

This prestigious program began in the year 1948.  there are currently 80 scholarship openings every year and they are filled with returning and new students.

The Civil Engineering Scholarship can be worth up to $51,000 and more.

Y. C. Yang Civil Engineering Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $2000

Recipients: Two (2) awards offered annually.

Additional Information

This is a scholarship award program generously offered by Y C Yang, Chairman of T. Y. Lin & Y C Yang International.

The prestigious scholarship award fund was established in the year 2004 to foster interest in structural engineering and as a means to encourage students to further their civil engineering education.

Every application is reviewed by the Society Awards Committee or perhaps, its designee for recommendation to the Executive Committee for the final approval.

The committee wholly reserves the right to recommend that no award be made in a particular academic year if no meritorious applications were received.

This $2,000 scholarship award is non-renewable and the funds must be used for tuition or tuition-related expenses and will be disbursed in the fall term.

The Association of State Dam Safety Officials Senior Undergraduate Scholarship (ASDSO)

Award Amount: $10,000

Description

This prestigious Scholarships award program has ranged from $5,000 to $10,000 in recent years. A candidate must be a U.S. citizen and enrolled full time at the senior level in an accredited civil engineering program, or in a related field as determined by the scholarship sponsor.

The candidate must demonstrate some level of interest in pursuing a career in hydraulics, hydrology or geotechnical disciplines, or in another discipline related to the design, construction and operation of dams.

Undergraduate students planning to graduate in May/December 2022 will be eligible to apply for this scholarship program.

Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 for the first THREE (3) years of college and be recommended by their academic advisor.

Neapolis University Scholarships awards for BSc in Civil Engineering.

Chicago Engineers’ Foundation Incentive Award

Scholarship Description

The Chicago Engineers’ Foundation makes provision for this incentive awards to graduating high school seniors who live or go to school in the city of Chicago and who are also accepted to an accredited college or university engineering programs.

To be eligible for an initial CEF award, the candidate must be a graduating high school senior living or going to school in the city of Chicago.

Connecticut Building Congress Scholarships

The Connecticut Building Congress Scholarship award program offers scholarships to graduating from Connecticut high school students.

West Virginia Division of Highways Scholarships

Scholarship Worth : $12,000.00

To be eligible for this scholarship:

  • the candidate must be enrolled in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Environmental).
  • the applicant must be a West Virginia resident
  • the candidate must have a minimum overall (cumulative) CGPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale.

Applications are being accepted between May 1st and June 30th  of every year.

Candidates will be notified of the granting or not granting of a scholarship by August 15th of the application year.

George M. Binder – KSPE Scholarship

The scholarship is often awarded on the basis of a candidate who can demonstrate that, through their engineering studies and extracurricular involvement, they can provide the greatest contribution to the engineering profession while maintaining a good grade point average nonetheless.

The following specific criteria will be demanded (note that financial need will not be considered)

  • Overall GPA
  • Civic and Volunteer Organizations.  (Include any leadership positions.)
  • Professional Activities such as engineering society, scientific society, other professional organizations.  (Include any offices that the candidate now holds or have held in the past.)

  • “Work Experience. Include the type of work and length of employment.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship

Application System

The SWE Scholarship award Program is here to provide financial assistance to women studying engineering, engineering technology, and computer science.

In the year 2018,  the SWE awarded approximately 238 new candidates and renewed scholarships valued at over $830,000.

A few main eligibility points:

  • Only candidates who identify as a female can apply.
  • Undergraduate or community college candidates must be planning to study an Abet accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year.
  • The candidate must have intentions to attend full time (note that exceptions are made for reentry and non-traditional applicants, however ).
  • A scholar must not be fully funded for tuition, fees, and books and equivalent.
  • The candidate’s transcripts must be in English.

The American Council of Engineering Companies Scholarship (New York)

The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) designed this program to award a number of scholarships to undergraduate students intending to become consulting engineers someday.

At least twenty (20) scholarships will provide a stipend of $2,500, as well as two (2) scholarships of $5,000, which is always issued via check to be utilized only during the student’s final year of undergraduate study at one of the approved engineering schools in New York State.

Only students having completed either their third (3rd) year of study (4-year program) or the fourth year of study (5-year program) by June in the year 2022 are eligible to receive the scholarship.
