Before we go on to give you an elaborate answer to the question, does QuikTrip do money orders, let’s take a look at a brief overview of the company.
QuikTrip Corporation is a private company founded in 1958 with its headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since its inception, QuikTrip has grown to a more than $11 billion company with more than 900 stores in 14 states. Those revenues place QuikTrip high on the Forbes listing of the largest privately held companies.

According to a report on Wikipedia, in 2005 QuikTrip and Chevron were the first two retailers to earn a “Top Tier” rating from General Motors, BMW, Honda, Volkswagen, Audi, and Toyota. The “Top Tier” rating exceeds the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s standards for gasoline additives.
What Does Quiktrip Do?
QuikTrip owns and operates 835 convenience stores and gasoline service stations throughout eleven states in the South, Midwest, and Southwest. Chester Cadieux and partner Burt Holmes opened the first QuikTrip in 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
As one of the largest privately held companies in the United States with over $11 billion in operation, QuikTrip also runs a food store where they serve quality food, premium specialty drinks, and other edibles.
In 2012, QuikTrip began an enterprise of offering fresh food made daily at its own bakery and commissary referred to as QT Kitchens. The products include fresh sandwiches, wraps, salads, fruit, and various pastries made and sold daily. Since then, QuikTrip has expanded the “QT Kitchens” brand to include actual kitchens in their stores with made-to-order hot food as well as specialty drinks.
The company also retrofitted their older style stores to include the new kitchen operations, in addition to building entirely new “Gen 3” stores.
These stores have multiple entrances, a common floor plan (coffee and tea, baked goods, grocery items, and liquor in one wing; fountain sodas, hot dogs, chips, and bottled non-alcoholic drinks in the other; and a deli case with sandwiches and candy in the middle) and are centered around the QT Kitchens counter, which serves made-to-order food as well as a grab-and-go selection of breakfast sandwiches in the morning and pizza slices in the afternoon and evening.
They also have an online shop where you can shop for items like face caps, tees, and other accessories.

Was a great company until the past few years.
I initially loved working here through all of the various positions but due to politics, that went out the door. Pay was the only good thing here. Benefits weren’t bad either until they decided to get into the healthcare business. Overall this company tried to much and it showed negatively. Employees left in droves for good reason.
Manager, Dallas, TX
“The company values people. They show genuine concern for employees and pay better than anyone in the industry and are very liberal with time off (paid vacations are earned, but you start with a 15-day balance to use at your discretion). They do have vey high standards and people that expect to get something for nothing will not prosper at QT. You will get back all that you invest in the company.”
Assistant Manager, Phoenix, AZ
“I got a job at QuikTrip as an Assistant Manager after I finished graduate school. I worked there for a year and a half and got a pretty good grasp of the ins and outs. I worked incredibly hard while I was there. Yet praise was incredibly scarce and practically nonexistent. I worked nights for a year and worked at over 40+ stores as an ERP. Even when I had the store spotless, the manager the next morning would try to find something wrong. I understand having high standards, but the demand for perfection was crushing many times. The assistant manager schedules there are horrible. They range from 46-50 hours a week and there are no lunch or breaks during your shift. Each shift runs between 8-10 hours. If you have a family or outside social life, forget it. I worked every other shift other than overnightseven the holy grail of QT, the Manager’s schedule (weekends off) and was still very disappointed. I felt incredibly overlooked and used while being there. I felt unappreciated no matter how hard I worked. I was simply one cog in the machine that made the store run. Other managers often put others down. I never understood why so many people claimed to have such high job satisfaction while being there. Finally I realized that the way to be easily promoted is to brown-nose. Say the right thing, sell your soul to the company, and you will be promoted quickly. Luckily I was able to get out of QT and got a job in my field and am incredibly happy. The stress and overload was not worth it.”
Repair Service Technician in Little Rock, AR (Current Employee) – Aug 8, 2022
Treated badly and looked down on by fs supervisors because you don’t have HVAC certifications even though the position hires non HVAC employees. Treated badly by store team because you aren’t one of them. You constantly have to get in there way to get a job done but they get angry about it even though manager says it has to be done then and there. You only get csa bonus and no profit bonus even though you are a big part of the profits of the store. You are considered store team when it comes to getting fs benefits and you are considered fs when it comes to getting store team benefits. You are not allowed any overtime even though store team is because “there is no reason you can’t get your job done during your scheduled hours” even though some jobs can take multiple days to complete. By the time payday comes around, after the store teams overtime, or after bonuses, you are one of the least paid people in the store even though you arguably work the hardest. Your knowledge means nothing, because of the store says it need to be done one way, it must be done that way and when it doesn’t work then it is your fault for listening to them even though if you don’t listen to them and it does work, then you are in trouble for not doing it how they said and “taking too much time”.
To improve customer service Quiktrip has made provision for customers to move straight to the counter and make payment against standing in a long queue.
